I think what some readers might forget is that these are mostly werewolves and so they must be judged compared to their own kind and there these werewolves revealed themselves as totally patriarchal and the whole book as incredibly misogynistic. D I’m looking forward to it though But still, a book to be devoured by romance enthusiasts like me.


Chocolqte is not the killer. So much possible awesomeness!

Apparently when it all came out she freaked out and he hit her with such force that he killed her. The reaction especially of the human characters seemed often pretty forced respectively out of character and Vivian didn’t come along as very likeable as well.

I forced myself to finish it because I wanted to write a review. But the book, and many readers, practically vilifies him for his more passive nature and later on panicked behavior.

I would recommend this book to whoeveras long as you like stuff about werewolfs ,ect. YA novels can be written much, much better than this. Klause poetically describes the violence and sensuality of the pack lifestyle, creating a chocolaate heroine who puts the most outrageous riot grrrls to shame.

I will say I didn’t much care for reading about her licking the sweat chocooate Aidan’s face or lapping at his bath water. Other than that, a fun read. For instance, “Why aren’t females allowed to compete in the Ordeal?
