While Verne is most known for science fiction, this work is a more “mundane” regular adventure story, along the lines perhaps of Around the World in 80 Days. This is roinoco book probably best enjoyed by rabid Verne fans. Found enough reference points in common to follow the story. T he wood is very lightweight and strong, lighter than Poplar and over twice as strong as Balsa, which makes it great for construction.
